My love for painting began early in life when I was living in El Salvador, the country
where I was born. Our family used to walk miles to visit relatives that lived in the
countryside. The journey allowed me to witness the beauty of the landscape and the
people we encountered along the way. Very often I bring back those warm
memories to be the subjects of my artwork so I can share the humble and innocent
qualities that are somewhat forgotten.
My paintings have been exhibited in museums such as San Bernardino, Riverside,
and Ontario, where they have won several first and second place awards. My most
recent awards was first place in the Diamond Valley art festival poster competition
in 2008 and several Best of Shows at the Hemet Valley Art Association from 2013 to
2014. I am currently exhibiting at the Latino Art Museum in Pomona, California.
